Training & Discipleship
EcoNation believes that the best training, discipleship and mentoring happens when colleagues are working side by side, sharpening each other along the way. However, to supplement that exchange, all associates participate in weekly meetings to study ethical leadership development materials and to discuss challenges and successes in applying Biblical principles to their work. In addition, the company offers generous material incentives for personal skills development. EcoNation strives to concurrently develop economies and disciple nations.

In the April 20th, 2007 edition of the New York Times, there was an editorial titled "Patient Capital for an Africa that Can't Wait." In it, the author Thomas Friedman stated that "Africa needs many things, but most of all it needs capitalists who can start and run legal companies." The founders and supporters of EcoNation agree, but also believe that only the transformational influence of Jesus Christ will bring holistic prosperity to the nations. To that end, EcoNation Limited uses a business context to raise up Christian business leaders and entrepreneurs of integrity by working alongside them as we develop opportunities in the East African market.
